Of bickers and kickers.

I will tell you about my week.

MONDAY
In the afternoon, I sent my mother a text at around 3pm to tell her I was staying back until 6 to do drama work... she didn't believe me AT ALL and for some reason, she suspected that I was lying and sneaking off to see a boy. What irritated me the most was that she stuck to that firm belief like glue and I had no idea where such a thought came from. I was prepared to say she could ring Bianca or Emma to prove I was at drama but I think things have settled down now.. However I can't help but think that she will be careful in where she'll let me go from now on.. all because she feels I lied to her. BUT I DIDN'T.

TUESDAY
The day before drama HSC. I also got a lot done of art and I had finally thought of a direction where my Body of Work would go. So.. go me. :)

We made some last minute changes to our drama performance and would have to quickly explain them to Nicola before the performance tomorrow. We agreed to meet at the area at 7:00! Which sucked cause I usually get up at 7:30 - 8 to go to school.. Ugh. The things I do for those girls. :P

We also had a BIG freak out with the timing. After doing a reading of our script we found the time to be 7min 13sec which made us stay back past 3 to do a timed run with actions.. that turned out to be 8min 30sec.. PHEW. We decided to just pace ourselves and remain calm so that we would keep good time.

WEDNESDAY
HSC drama day.. this day counted for 60% of our final drama mark for the HSC. Let me tell you, it was freaking me out. Our group was first, so we met at art block at about 7:00am so we could have a last minute run through and so we could calm our nerves. I was really nervous!

The time came... and our group performance went off without a hitch! We all knew what we were doing and no one forgot their lines or stumbled! People even laughed at our funny bits.. and some bits we thought weren't funny but oh well, it was our aim to get people to laugh. :)

It turned out Bianca had a BIG FREAKING SPIDER on her drama block through the whole performance and the markers were amazed that she didnt break role because of it. I know I would have! It was a huntsman and it was biiiiig :( we got rid of him but.

Now... my solo didn't go as well as I thought it would.. because guess what. I HAD A MIND BLANK halfway through and forgot my lines. I also feel like I was under time which would pretty much cut my mark in half! I stood there for what felt like a minute just staring at the markers until I finally remembered my line and burst into my performance again. I hated the look the markers gave me... it was like they were studying me as if I was a science project and I got the shivers. Lol.

THURSDAY
Worked on my Art diary a lot today.. Nothing really interesting happened though. I did learn that apparently no one is going back to drama until Mrs Bailey comes back.. which is another week or two I think. So for the next week or so I have two free periods instead of one. Yay.

FRIDAY
Was a friend's birthday today and I got completely ignored.. at least it felt like it.. I'll talk about it some other time. Again, nothing interesting happened... except Beau locked my stuff in the drama studio! I went hunting with Taylor to find Mrs Lawther so I could get the drama key (turned out she was in Lab 7 at the back of the school..) with no luck, we went to the office and the school general assistant.. I think his name was Pete or something.. opened the studio with a magic master key!

Today we also decided to go to the PE staff and ask for some skipping ropes which they said they'd have out on monday. Yay.

Today was also a pink day, and I got to have a chat with a lot of people I don't normally talk to. Was pretty fun.
